As An Employed Filipino Tourist
Hi guys, this blog is written this year 2016 but my topic is about my experience last 2011 Christmas vacation in China. So, I think I'm gonna miss some points in this blog but I will try my best to recall everything. I don't know if there are big changes in the processing now but I hope it can help.
Anyway, I had a Chinese boyfriend who invited me to have a vacation in his beloved country. During that time I was employed as a school teacher in a private school in Manila, Philippines. I accepted his invitation so, I prepared my requirements to process my tourist visa. I was not able to process it by myself because I was so busy at school. I asked my brother to do the processing for me. These are the papers I submit to the embassy of China in the Philippines:
For first time Chinese visa applicant, you will need to provide financial document such as:
* Applicant may submit visa application form in person or anyone else you hire with authorization letter or a travel agency to submit on your behalf.
* No appointment is required.
* Mail applications will not be accepted.
* You may be required to go to the Chinese Embassy for an interview if the visa officer deems it necessary but in my experience I never went to the embassy in person.
Regular processing time is 4 working days. For expedited application, additional fee will be collected. You give the payment during passport collection. Only cash payment will be accepted in the embassy of China.
They will return your papers and tell you to comeback to submit additional requirements so you better bring all the necessary documents with you. My brother returned to the embassy twice to submit my requirements because I gave him wrong or unnecessary documents. I was not really sure what documents to submit that time as employed but he made it successfully after the second attempt. I was happy to receive my passport with visa sticker for China.
