As An Employed Filipino Tourist
Hi guys, this blog is written this year 2016 but my topic is about my experience last 2011 Christmas vacation in China. So, I think I'm gonna miss some points in this blog but I will try my best to recall everything. I don't know if there are big changes in the processing now but I hope it can help.
Anyway, I had a Chinese boyfriend who invited me to have a vacation in his beloved country. During that time I was employed as a school teacher in a private school in Manila, Philippines. I accepted his invitation so, I prepared my requirements to process my tourist visa. I was not able to process it by myself because I was so busy at school. I asked my brother to do the processing for me. These are the papers I submit to the embassy of China in the Philippines: Requirements
For first time Chinese visa applicant, you will need to provide financial document such as:
Steps:
* Applicant may submit visa application form in person or anyone else you hire with authorization letter or a travel agency to submit on your behalf.
* No appointment is required. * Mail applications will not be accepted. * You may be required to go to the Chinese Embassy for an interview if the visa officer deems it necessary but in my experience I never went to the embassy in person. Stamping/Processing Fee:
Processing Time: Regular processing time is 4 working days. For expedited application, additional fee will be collected. You give the payment during passport collection. Only cash payment will be accepted in the embassy of China.
Incomplete Requirements:
They will return your papers and tell you to comeback to submit additional requirements so you better bring all the necessary documents with you. My brother returned to the embassy twice to submit my requirements because I gave him wrong or unnecessary documents. I was not really sure what documents to submit that time as employed but he made it successfully after the second attempt. I was happy to receive my passport with visa sticker for China.

Visa Requirement for Cambodia
As a Philippines passport holder, I am allowed to enter Cambodia without visa and can stay in the country for 21 days. All I have to bring is my passport to show to immigration for stamping.
I traveled with my American travel buddy so he needs a visa to enter the country. The following below are the steps we did to get his E-Visa: E-Visa
Since, we are staying in Nha Trang it was hard for us to go to Cambodian embassy in Saigon just to get the visa since it's time consuming at the same time a tiring trip of 9 hours. We find it very easy to get an E-Visa online than going to the embassy. All you have to do is to go to the website below:
evisa.gov.kh Fill out the form with the needed information and upload an electronic photo of you in a passport size then pay them using your credit card. They will send you back your E-Visa within 3 working days through email. Note: Prepare credit/debit card for payment, passport size photo in digital format of JPG or PNG, and your passport information. After you received a copy of your E-Visa, you need to print two copies to bring with you during your trip to Cambodia and present one copy to the Immigration section as your entry visa and the other copy when you leave the country. But, with my experience with my American travel buddy he did not show any copy no more during our exit. So, it is really optional to print two copies but just be prepared because that's what they said in the letter after you received the E-Visa in your email: Reminder
