Hi everyone,
Today I wanna share with you the different rates of taxi here in Nha Trang. My family always go to the church every Sunday and from our house we will just walk about 30 minutes to the church. Yes, it is a long walk but we need the walk as a sort of exercise. Then, we will go to Big C supermarket to buy some stuff like our food for the week. We always take taxi going there as well as going back home. From the church to Big C is another 30 minutes walk just like the distance from our house to the church. We always pay 26000 dong sometimes 30000. So, from Big C to our house just times two with the total cost of 60000 dong but sometimes almost 70000 dong. Equivalent of 3-4 US dollars. Our place is located at Trang Quang Khai street.
Before when we were just new in the city, we didn't know the meter rate, we thought all taxis are the same. Now, I'm going to reveal the different rates so you will know which taxi is best to ride for budget friendly.
*Small gray taxi is the cheapest, it starts at 4500 dong, other gray taxi at 5000 dong.
*The big taxis mostly are white, yellow, green and red. They are all starts at 8000 or 9000 or 10,500 at most.
*Other small taxis like white with blue stripe and white with orange touch start at 7000.

How will you know their starter rate aside from the meter?

You will know before getting inside of the taxi. On the door side, they print out the rates so, you can decide if you will take it or not. Aside from that you will also know by the color of the taxi and then, the size.
Below is the sample of the rate of one of the taxis:

This is the text you will see in the door side. This example means the meter starts at 10,500 dong.
That's all for today guys, I hope that this hub can help a little to all travelers like me. See you again next time!
